Designed for health care professionals with a basic EKG Knowledge. Our ACLS program presents a stress free approach to dealing with cardiovascular emergencies - from oxygenation and airway management to AMI recognition and the nationally recognized cardiac arrest algorithms. Our teaching criteria allows more flexibility and remediation, however, students must still be familiar with the ACLS information. We strongly recommend the full course for participants not familiar with EKGs, Algorithms and Pharmacology.

ACLS Skills Check

The skills involved in your ACLS check-off will focus on your BLS interventions. Your instructor will work with you to make sure you're comfortable performing the following skills:Chest compressions, Pocket-mask ventilations, Bag-mask ventilations, and Use of the AED (defibrillator) You will be presented with an "in-hospital" adult BLS scenario so you can practice these skills in sequence. Following this opportunity to practice, your instructor will then test your skills by asking you to perform the scenario without any assistance or intervention from the instructor. Once the adult check-off is complete, your instructor will also assess your ability to identify respiratory arrest and provide rescue breaths with a bag-mask device. This hands-on skills check-off is for healthcare providers seeking certification who have completed the Online AHA ACLS Part 1 course within the last sixty days. Please remember that you MUST complete the online portion and bring the AHA Certificate of Completion to the skills check off. The instructor cannot perform the skills check-off unless you provide documentation of completion of the online portion of the course!

This hands-on skills check-off is for healthcare providers seeking certification who have completed the AHA Online BLS Part 1 course within the last sixty days. Course includes hands on skills checks by a licensed instructor in Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED. After completing the online portion, you must print your AHA Certificate of Course Completion and bring a copy of the certificate to your skills check-off session. You will be allowed to go through a self-directed skills practice session after presenting your certificate, and then an AHA Instructor will complete your skills check-off. Participants who complete the course and the skills check-off will receive an AHA BLS Healthcare Provider E-card. Please remember that you MUST complete the online portion and bring the Certificate of Completion to the skills check off. The PALS Program is designed to stress early recognition and management of potentially life threatening situations in the pediatric patient rather than merely "running code". Through the use of STRESS FREE case based scenarios and interactive skills stations, participants will receive instruction in the recognition and management of respiratory failure and shock; basic life support and airway management, rhythm disturbances, vascular access, trauma and managing cardiopulmonary arrest in the infant and child.
